oh my, oh my!

Any good nursing student, as well as any good nurse, needs a great pair of nursing shoes. Somehow I don't think these would be so comfy after 12 minutes, let alone 12 hours!

What brand/style do you wear?

I wear New Balance. My wife wears Dansko clogs. She gets a new pair every 6 months. :)

Do they wear out that quickly? I wouldn't have thought so being they're $100+!

We can't wear clogs in our program. And that's a bummer!

Thanks!

I have tried a little of everything but I have found the most comfortable are my Sketcher sports in white of course! I do like clogs and am thinking about trying a pair of closed toed ones. I did try a pair of those nurse mates once and they killed my feet!

I remember you mentioning Skechers before, and have found a couple of pairs that I like. Our requirements state that they have to be completely, totally white...with no logos. I think that's a bit much to ask, and will have to clarify!

Thanks!

Ah, she straightened me out, once a year.

She has really high arches, and Dansko is one of the few brands that she can wear without an insert. But even they start to flatten and it causes her knees to hurt.

Very good info to know considering I too have high arches, probably plantar fasciitis, bad hips...what am I 80? LOL! Thanks again!

Errr, I wear generic Walmart cross-trainers. About $11-12 per pair. I buy two pair - one for home, one for work. LOVE THEM!

New Balance shoes for on the floor, but I wear Crocs when I'm in the PACU/OR

I wore nursemates for my first 2 semesters and my dogs were barking by the end of the shift. I don't know who designed them, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't a nurse.

I just bought a pair of white crocs called "the specialist". They're pretty cheap and my classmates have given me rave reviews on them. For the price, i figured I'd give them a try.

Crocs:

Well I've checked out NB and am going to the mall this evening, after I get some studying done, to try on some shoes.

SN-I'm not a big fan of Crocs, but actually like those. Figures I'd find a pair I like considering they're not allowed in my program. They'd be fine, except the back has to be closed-no straps even.
